On the day of the album’s release, the girls are set to hold a launching party which will air live on online service provider Ustream, followed by a live-chatting session with their fans from all over the world and a live performance by the girls.
Wonder Girls made a splash into the music industry in 2007, quickly becoming one of the biggest pop acts in the country with numerous hit singles.
They are also the most successful group to have made a crossover to the U.S., chosen as the opening act for popular boy band The Jonas Brothers and appearing in radio and television shows last year.
The girls continued to celebrate their success, becoming the first Korean artists in Billboard history to enter the Hot100 chart with their U.S. single “Nobody” debuting at No. 76.
However, the quintet –composed of Sohee, Yubin, Sun, Yenny and Mimi– suffered a setback to kick off their singing career in the U.S. full scale when original member Mimi decided to leave the group to pursue her studies. She was replaced with new member Lim in March.

[KPOP] WONDER GIRLS GEAR UP FOR U.S DEBUT ALBUM RELEASE ON APRIL
|
Korean pop group Wonder Girls returned to the United States over the weekend to prepare for their debut album due out in the country in April, according to their agency JYP Entertainment (JYPE).
An official at JYPE told Asia Economic Daily over a phone call yesterday that “Wonder Girls members left for the U.S. on March 13,” adding that they will “focus on the release of their studio album which has been delayed.”
“For the time being, they have no other work scheduled and are planning to concentrate on the album to release it by April or May at the latest,” the official was quoted as saying.
He further explained that the delay came due to the group’s member replacement; original member Mimi left the group last month to continue her studies and JYP trainee Lim was brought in to fill her place.
The quintet, including new member Lim, had flown into Korea earlier this month and last week attended a promotional tour in Singapore as the new face for global mobile phone brand Sony Ericsson in the Asia-Pacific region.

They made an impressive crossover to the United States last year when their U.S. debut single “Nobody” entered the Billboard Hot100 at No. 76, becoming the first Korean artists to be placed on the chart in its 115-year history.

The representative of WonderGirls fan union revealed that their request for fan conference with JYP Entertainment has been rejected on 23rd January.
It has been known that fans requested for a conference with JYP CEO Park Jin Young regarding the shocking news of SunMi’s sudden leaving of the group, but it was rejected. According to the fans, JYP has personally rejected the request.
The representative of the fan union announced on 27th January, “We are still in shock and confused state of SunMi’s leaving of the group.
